Tameye

Grows in dense clusters of small, sticky mushrooms. In Yi, "ta" means "pine", "me" means "mushroom", and "ye" means slippery. This name references local observations that this mushroom only comes up under pine trees, and that its cap surface is usually wet. Before the expansion of the wild mushroom trade, tameye was not usually harvested, but rather was often stepped (or slipped!) on.
